Chinese Medicine Development Fund Project
Objectives & Goals
According to the Census and Statistics Department (2020), 1.653 million people* in Hong Kong live below the poverty line, meaning roughly 1 in 5 citizens struggles with poverty. Due to financial and livelihood pressures, low-income families have limited access to medical information regarding Chinese Medicine.
This project aims to promote correct knowledge of Chinese Medicine and healthcare to grassroots citizens through the distribution of educational booklets, organizing seminars, and releasing educational videos. Furthermore, with the resurgence of the pandemic, studies indicate that over 40%** of recovered COVID-19 patients suffer from "Long COVID" symptoms, which persist and affect their daily lives. Centred around the theme of "Chinese Medicine Conditioning for Long COVID," this project hopes to educate the public on how to alleviate post-COVID discomfort using Chinese Medicine.
