Event: CME Luncheons — "New Developments in Cataract Treatment" (2 CME points per session)
Between September and November 2023, the Association organised three CME luncheons for healthcare professionals at venues in Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, and Central, focusing on new advances in cataract treatment. The three sessions were attended by more than 90 doctors, optometrists and ophthalmologists, all keen to learn about emerging techniques and to exchange insights.
At each luncheon, ophthalmology specialists presented on three themes: the latest developments in premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) for cataract surgery, newer and more advanced surgical techniques, and a comparison of outcomes across different vision-correction methods. Participants engaged in lively discussion and shared their own experience, all with the common goal of providing better care for patients and raising the overall quality of healthcare services in Hong Kong.
