Forum : Primary Care Forum — "Resources and Challenges
We are grateful to our Guest of Honour, Dr the Hon Li Kwok-tung, Donald, GBS, JP Chairman of the Elderly Commission, and to Dr the Hon David Lam Tzit-yuen, Legislative Council Member (Medical and Health Services), together with leaders from the healthcare sector, patient organisations and our sponsors, for gracing the Association's Annual Dinner cum "Primary Care Forum: Resources and Challenges" with their presence and guidance.
The Forum brought together leaders from the Government, the elderly care sector, academia, Western medicine, Chinese medicine and patient organisations, offering a multi-faceted exchange of views on the future of primary care in Hong Kong. The Association will continue to uphold its mission of interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare, and to devote itself to advancing community health.

Seminar on Osteoporosis and Fall Prevention
At this seminar, five speakers shared their professional knowledge and experience of osteoporosis with an interdisciplinary audience of healthcare professionals, drawing on both Chinese and Western medical perspectives. They were: Dr Tang Ling, Director of the Nursing Department, Dongfang Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Dongfang Hospital; Prof Cheung Ching-lung, President of the Hong Kong Osteoporosis Society; Dr Yuen Mei-yan, Hong Kong Medical Consultants; Ms Tam Sze-man, Advanced Practice Nurse (Fragility Fracture); and Dr Wong Kam-hung, Registered Physiotherapist (Australia and Hong Kong). Through exchange and dialogue across disciplines, the seminar sought to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare — to the ultimate benefit of the public.
Medical Technology Forum — Partial Nephrectomy in Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC): Surgical Planning and 3D Imaging

Dr Ma Wai-kit, Specialist in Urology, gave a detailed presentation to specialists, operating-theatre nurses, senior healthcare executives and operations managers on the application of 3D technology to the planning of partial nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma (RCC). This innovative technique drew considerable interest from attendees. The seminar was also honoured by the presence of Dr Ho Chung-ping, Former President of the Hong Kong Medical Association and Specialist in Nephrology, who offered his expert guidance.
