Health Talks for Patients and the Public
The Association works to raise public awareness of health and to strengthen people's ability to care for themselves. Together with patient groups, we organise health seminars that help participants understand and manage their own health conditions. These seminars offer more than medical knowledge: they also give participants emotional support, and in doing so contribute to a healthier and more harmonious society.
Raising health awareness
Our seminars help participants understand health matters more fully and encourage healthier habits in daily life.
Strengthening self care
The content is practical. We set out specific ways of managing health so that participants are better able to look after themselves.
Working with patient groups
Collaboration with patient groups keeps our seminar content close to what participants actually need, and allows us to offer advice they can act on.
Experienced healthcare speakers
Our seminars are given by experienced healthcare practitioners and health specialists, so that participants receive current and reliable information.
A broad range of topics
Topics range from chronic disease management to mental health, meeting the needs of different groups of participants.
Interaction and support
Each seminar includes a question-and-answer session in which participants can put their questions to the speakers. The seminars also give people a place to meet, share experience and support one another.
Building a healthier community
Our seminars aim to improve the overall health of the community and the quality of life of the public, and to help create a healthier and more harmonious social environment.
